I’ve decided throughout June I wanted to pick up a few products that I have been lusting after for a while. I’ve been working really hard and saving lots of money, and feel like everyone deserves a treat once in a while right?
I was so happy on Monday when I got home from work to see I had two lovely little parcels waiting for me, there’s nothing better to brighten up your day after a long day at work!
First up, I couldn’t resist placing a little MAC order. Sadly where I live there isn’t a MAC store, I’d have to travel around 90 minutes by car to get to my closest one – so I had to do a lot of research before purchasing anything as I always worry that products won’t suit my pale skin! In the end I went for MAC Crosswires cremesheen lipstick and MAC Harmony powder blush.
MAC Crosswires is a pink toned coral shade. I debated for a long while whether to get this or Vegas Volt (let me know if you’ve tried VV). But I leaned more towards Crosswires as I felt it was more of an every day wearable coral. This is my first cremesheen lipstick and I will probably post a full review once I’ve given it a thorough test run. I have worn this a few times already and it is super moisturising on the lips.
MAC Harmony has been on my wish list for a long while now. A friend of mine purchased it for contouring, and found it worked really well for pale skin – so I was instantly sold! It is a gorgeous matte brown blush which doesn’t carry any orange undertones, which makes it perfect for contouring. I am so pleased I purchased this and I can’t wait to experiment more with contouring.
I have heard so many good things about Zoeva makeup brushes, the rose gold collection is extremely popular and has been raved about by many bloggers. I decided to try a few individual brushes first before purchasing a brush set. I ordered the Zoeva brushes from Beauty Bay – as Zoeva is a German brand I thought it would be much more simple to order from a UK seller. Beauty Bay also do free delivery within 2 working days if you spend £10, which is so good!
I chose the Zoeva 109 Face Paint brush as I thought it would be the perfect partner for MAC Harmony. This brush is honestly so soft, you have to be careful not to be too heavy handed with it as the brush picks up product so easily. I love the look of this brush, but there is just one thing that I’m not keen on – I wish the bristles weren’t white!
Finally, the 228 Luxe Crease Brush – I’m trying to get into the habit of wearing eye shadow more regularly, so I figured I would get myself a new eye shadow brush. I haven’t actually tried this brush out yet, but I am going to do a full post on the Zoeva brushes in a few weeks time.
Have you tried any of these products? What products are on your wish list at the moment? Let me know in the comments below.
Keep your eyes peeled this weekend, as I will be posting my first ever chatty YouTube video!
