♡ My MAC cosmetics Must Haves! ♡

In the past 6 months I have become utterly obsessed with MAC cosmetics, every product I have tried I have absolutely loved and there are a few that I don’t think I could live without now. So this post is all about the MAC products that I use on a daily basis and would highly recommend for any bloggers make up bag!

MAC Studio Fix Fluid in NC15

If you read my post ‘My Search for the Perfect Base‘ you will know that I really didn’t like this foundation when I first picked it up, it took me a while but eventually I found a way of applying it to get it sit correctly on my skin. At the moment I would say this is my favourite foundation to use as it gives such a flawless finish and is so long lasting. It is known for being quite a drying foundation but I find if I buff it in well it doesn’t emphasise my dry patches. In Gabby’s (from velvetgh0st) most recent make up tutorial she mixed Studio fix fluid with Strobe cream which is another of my favourite products, I tried that out today and it gives such a dewy glowing finish – it’s made me love this foundation even more!

MAC Strobe Cream

I purchased the travel sized version which was just £10 and its lasting me pretty well. I like to use this on the days I want more of a dewy look as I’ve said above, most of the time I apply this underneath my foundation to the areas of my face I would like to glow eg my cheeks and my nose. It’s the perfect size for taking on holiday and I would highly recommend this to any bloggers who haven’t already tried it.

MAC Studio Fix Powder in NC15

I am not normally a fan of powders at all, they don’t usually agree with my dry skin. I like to use this powder on my t-zone just to mattify and set my make up. It does a really good job of making my forehead more matte, this is the only area of my face that isn’t dry! I also like using this to set my concealer and it really helps my make up last all day. I much prefer this powder to drugstore alternatives as it is much less drying.

MAC Powder Blush in the shade Harmony

Harmony is the perfect powder contour for pale skin! I have been a bit nervous to pick up any contour kits as I know they all seem to come up pretty dark, so this blush seemed like the perfect option for me. It’s such a great product as there is no orangey undertones, and it’s matte so works really well as a blush or for contouring. The colour is really subtle, but buildable! This has taken a firm spot in my every day make up routine.

MAC Mineralize Skin Finish in the shade Soft & Gentle

This is one of those MAC products that has been raved about by many, but let me tell you – it really does live up to the hype! It is such a beautiful highlight, when on the skin it is much lighter than it appears in the pan and works really well with Harmony. Hardly any product is needed to create a nice healthy glow and I am completely obsessed with this! I’ve included some a swatch below so you can see how pretty it is on the skin.

MAC Amplified Lipstick in the shade Blankety

I mentioned this lipstick in my recent post ‘Lipstick Addicts Anonymous‘ so I won’t go into too much detail. This is the perfect every day nude lipstick for ladies with more of a pale complexion. The amplified finish is so creamy and sits so nicely on the lips.

MAC Lip Liner in the shade Whirl

The MAC lip liners are so long lasting and creamy on the lips. I love this shade as it works well with so many of the lipsticks I own including Blankety, Brave and Peach Blossom.

  1. I guess you are not the only one to be obsessed with MAC products, I too tend to have a peek each time when I come across MAC counter. To be honest, you could imagine, I would literally want to dive in them but anyway, because of its high price tag, I try to keep my hands tight to avoid making another splurge but also, then and there, I can’t resist myself and I would be ended up standing in front of the counter and paying for the MAC purchase and that’s the story from me and I hope many people out there experiences the same.

  2. Another awesome post! It gives me serious MAC envy although I have to be careful and do some patch testing first because of my silly allergies! I’m doing a post soon about my favourite bloggers and I was hoping to mention your blog and link it if that’s okay with you? xo

      1. To be fair it doesn’t take much for me to want to buy more make up haha I think I’ll have a bigger haul next month, so will see. I will definitely do a review on the blog when I do, though 🙂
