♡ My Evening Routine – Collab with TheRoseBeautyFiles ♡

IMG_2159I’m back with another exciting collab for you! I’ve teamed up with one of my favourite bloggers – Molly from TheRoseBeautyFiles. I am going to tell you all about my current evening routine, and Molly will be posting about her morning routine – so be sure to pop over to her blog & check it out! Before I begin, I just want to point out this is my more elaborate evening routine, for those days where work has been stressful and I really need to chill out before I head to sleep.    IMG_3100 Once I’ve had my evening meal and I really want to start winding down, I’ll make myself a mug of my favourite hot chocolate and spend an hour catching up with my YouTube subscriptions on my iPad.

Now it’s bath time! Before I jump in the bath I like to give my face a good cleanse – I like to use Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish, as I’ve said before (read my full review here) it removes all my makeup with ease including my stubborn eye makeup.

For me if I’m having a relaxing bath – it wouldn’t be complete without a LUSH bath bomb, in this case I chose the LUSH Twilight bath bomb which contains lavender & is meant to be really calming/ relaxing. This was the first time I had tried this bomb & I really loved it. I decided to go all out and light my Lemon Lavender Yankee Candle as well.

Whilst in the bath I like to use my Tropic Skincare Face Smooth Brightening Polish – it is basically a fancy sugar scrub and I absolutely love it. It helps to cleanse, exfoliate and moisturise your skin, and it always leaves my skin feeling very refreshed.

Recently I’ve been loving the Body Shop Virgin Mojito Shower Gel – the scent is so fresh and uplifting. This has become a favourite of mine, along with my trusty shampoo/conditioner which is Tresemme Salon Silk – not very exciting I know but I thought I would include it anyways.

Once I’m done in the bath it’s time to moisturise! First of all I like to give my face a quick sprits with my Body Shop Vitamin E face mist. If I have any spots I will give them a dab with my Witch Blemish stick.

At the moment I’ve been trialling the Boots Botanics range – A few weeks ago I picked up the All Bright Hydrating night cream. It has a really soft scent but the texture is slightly strange as it reminds me of suncream, but it does a good job of soothing my dry skin. I haven’t been using a serum at the moment as my skin has been so over sensitive – so I’m trying not to add in too many new products. I am quite lucky as my arms/legs don’t really get very dry, but if I need a bit of extra moisture I will use my Soap and Glory The Righteous Butter. I’ve started putting vaseline on my brows over night to help them thicken up and it seems to be really helping.

When I finally jump into bed I usually watch an episode of one of my favourite programmes, usually OITNB, PLL or Once Upon A Time. This may sound a bit weird to some of you – but I can’t actually get to sleep if there’s silence, so every night I always put on a film to fall asleep too. It’s usually something I’ve seen before/ I am familiar with the actors voices – the majority of the time it’s either Harry Potter or Fantastic Mr Fox!

So that’s it for my evening routine! I hope you’ve enjoyed reading this post – it’s a little bit different to what I usually do. As I said before make sure you ahead over to Molly’s blog and check out her morning routine.

  1. I really love the Botanics range! I have been using the Cool and Calming Night Moisturizer, and I love it. I actually leave it in the fridge, so that when I apply it to my face it feels amazing! Boots products don’t get as much love as they should in the U.S!
