Lifestyle Update | New job, holidays & blog schedule!

Hello Everyone!

Today’s post is slightly out of the ordinary but I wanted to kind of give you a little update as there are lots of exciting things happening for me at the moment.

I’m pleased to tell you all that last week I handed in my notice at my current job, as I have been offered a job at my local hospital which I am very happy about! I feel as though it’s the right time for me to be moving on and I’m excited to see what the next chapter of my career brings. I’ve had quite a few knock backs this year so it was a lovely surprise when I got the phone call a few weeks ago. My official start date isn’t until 05/10/15 but I feel like it’s perfect time and I will have just returned from my holiday.

It seems as though everything is happening at once! As I’m sure you will all know I’m heading off on my summer holiday in a few weeks time which I am really excited about. In the run up to my holiday I’ve got quite a few birthdays, leaving parties etc to attend and I’m also heading to Reading Festival next weekend! It’s so nice to have lots of look forward too, as I’ve had a bit of a quiet summer so far. I’m trying my best to get post’s organised and scheduled, but doing this on top of my full time job can be tricky so I just wanted to keep you in the loop incase my posts become slightly less frequent.

Now on to my blog, I wanted to talk about my blog schedule as I’m really wanting to nail down a cohesive schedule by the end of the summer. At the moment I post every day of the week apart from Wednesdays. I really love writing posts on such a regular basis but it can be quite hard going. So at the moment I’m trying to get a feel of what posts people enjoy reading, and when is the best time for me to post them! I am thinking of posting 3 or 4 times each week. I’d love to hear your thoughts on this, or if you have any tips for putting a blog schedule together let me know. I’m also debating giving the blog a bit of a make over, so definitely watch this space.

Also if any of you are interested in doing a collaboration post please get in touch, I have really enjoyed doing these kinds of posts in the past! Drop me a line here if you are interested – lucieleannexo@outlook.com

      1. I know how you feel. I handed my notice in in November last year, felt so great to get away from there. I’m sure you’ll feel so much better in your new job 🙂 x

  2. Congratulations on the new job! I hope you’re really happy there 🙂 I think anyone who has a blogging schedule deserves an award so I think go with whatever is do-able on a full time basis. I’d go lower rather than higher though, then you can always check an extra one in if you get time 🙂 xoxo

  3. Congrats on your new job. I wish you the best of luck. I have been struggling with creating a blog schedule since I started blogging. I have so much to say and just not enough time in my day to do so. My suggestions are to schedule as many post out as you can before your schedule gets really crazy. Hope this helps 🙂

  4. Congrats on the new job!! Sounds very exciting! And cutting down on posts has really helped me out recently, I went from 5 days to 3- Monday, Wednesday and Friday! I think the most important aspect has been that I’ve not had to do as many rushed posts on busy days meaning the posts I can do are a lot more planned and thought out! 🙂 xx
