August Favourites!

The August bank holiday is here, meaning our British summer is almost over – not that we have really had much of a summer weather wise! In preparation for my holiday next month I haven’t bought too many new products this month, but I have found a handful of products that I’ve been constantly reaching for throughout the month!

Body Shop Camomile Cleansing Butter – This product has overtaken my Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish, and has quickly become my go to cleanser. The buttery consistency works wonders for my skin – removing my make up with ease and leaving my skin feeling super soft. I find this removes my mascara much more easily than other cleansers I have tried.

Urban Decay NAKED Skin Concealer – This was the first time I delved into the world of high end concealers and boy was it worth it! There is a lot of hype surrounding this product but it is totally justified. It sits really nicely on my dry skin and doesn’t cake at all. It really does feel weightless but whilst giving a good amount of coverage.

LUSH Celestial Moisturiser – I won’t go into too much detail as I’ve got a full review on this product coming up later in the week. But I am totally addicted to this moisturiser! The smell reminds of Milky Bars and it makes my skin feel so revitalised.

Lee Stafford Treatment for Hair That Never Grows Past a Certain Length – I’m not normally into hair treatments as I think they can be quite overrated, but I really love this stuff! I’m not sure if it’s made my hair grow more quickly but it’s definitely improved the texture of my hair and kept my hair in better condition.

Barry M Gelly Hi Shine Nail Paint in Blueberry – I love the finish of the Gelly Hi Shine range and this colour is just so lovely. It’s a gorgeous pastel blue colour which I have really enjoyed wearing throughout the summer. I’m definitely going to make the most of wearing it for the next few weeks in the run up to Autumn!

Colour Me Mindful: Underwater – I’ve heard a lot about mindful colouring books and I thought it was about time I picked one up for myself. I only purchased this last week but I had to include it in this post as I can’t believe how much I am enjoying it. It is quite a time consuming activity but it is great for relaxing and de-stressing.

The Great British Bake Off – I absolutely love GBBO, I’ve watched it for the past 4 years and I always look forward to it kicking off every summer. The presenters Sue and Mel really make the programme for me. I do think the contestants aren’t as interesting this year but I still love watching this program. I love the variety of the different challenges, especially the technicals!

      1. Haha as long as they taste nice no one will mind!

Well, Jamal is incredibly good looking haha so the longer he stays in the better, and I like Matt and Ian. Also Nadya (I think that’s how you spell it) would be fab but I hate the way she goes on! Flora seems like a strong contender also. Who is your money on? Xox

  1. I have a similar colouring book and I love it! It’s so relaxing and gets you to just focus on the book, nothing else! So helpful! .. I really wanna try the naked skin concealer, great post! 🙂

  2. I saw a whole display of colour books for grown ups at the book store the other day – it must be a new trend! I was very tempted to buy one… but I just know I will be bored of it within a day! I should just print out something from online and see if I even enjoy it.
That Body Shop Camomile Cleansing Butter is quite nice – I like the smell of the whole range. 🙂
