Product Rediscovery | MAC Studio Sculpt Foundation

As I’m writing this post, I only have one week left of my spending ban. I have actually really enjoyed it as it’s allowed me to rediscover some old favourites. Last weeks rediscovery post about Benefit’s Dandelion went down quite well (click here to view the post), so I thought I would squeeze in another one before the end of the month.

MAC Studio Sculpt in my opinion is ridiculously under rated! Over the summer it sank to the bottom of my makeup bag as I was leaning more towards lighter bases. Now that the colder months are here I have been wearing this on an almost daily basis. I wear this in the shade NW20 which is perfect for my untanned skin.

Studio sculpt has a gel like texture which applies like a dream, I like to blend this into my skin using my fingers first and then I blitz over my face with my Real Techniques Buffing Brush. I would say the coverage is medium, with an almost velvet like finish. Because of this I would think for people with oily skin this wouldn’t work. But for those with normal/dry skin like myself it is perfect, as it gives a bit of moisture back to your skin. This foundation has a good lasting power, it isn’t as long lasting as the Studio Fix foundation but I don’t mind as I much prefer the finish of Studio Sculpt.

The reason why I enjoy wearing this foundation so much is the fact that it is fuss free – I don’t have to sit for 10 minutes blending it in. So it’s ideal for those early mornings before work when I’m applying my make up in a  hurry.

What foundations have you been reaching for during the colder months?

  1. Oh I am so with you! This formula is awesome, so silky which is down to the gel base. I keep forgetting how good this foundation is. Rimmel have a decent dupe for this. xx
