Five Favourites from 2015!

Before we start I’d just like to say Happy New Year everyone! 2015 has definitely been a year of many beauty discoveries for me. I have ventured into new brands as well as rediscovering some old favourites. You have no idea how long it took me to narrow it down to five products, but I feel as though these products are ones that I will continue to love in future.

Soap & Glory Hand Food – If you had asked me 12 months ago what my favourite products were, I would have never chose a hand cream! But Soap & Glory have well and truly converted me. This cream has their original pink scent which I just find so comforting. It makes my hands feel very soft and the scent lingers for such a long time. Soap & Glory has become one of my favourite brands over the past few months, and I can’t wait to try more from them.

Urban Decay NAKED Skin Concealer – I bet you’re thinking, as if I haven’t raved about this concealer enough already? But really this product has been such a game changer for me. This is the first concealer I’ve found which sits perfectly on my skin, without looking cakey or drawing attention to my dry patches.  I’m just coming to the end of this tube and I’ve had it since July – which is pretty good going if you ask me. I will definitely be repurchasing this in the near future.

LUSH Celestial Moisturiser – 2015 was definitely the year that I fell in love with LUSH. Celestial has become a firm favourite of mine as it perfect for my dry sensitive skin, and it gives my skin a huge hit of moisture. You wouldn’t scent would be a big factor in skincare, but Celestial smells like white chocolate which makes me love it even more.

MAC Velvet Teddy – I purchased my first MAC lipstick in March of this year and since then things have really escalated quickly. I have chosen Velvet Teddy as my favourite lipstick of 2015 as I think it’s the most versatile of all the MAC lipsticks I own. Prior to owning this, I wasn’t really into nude shades but now I am obsessed. I just don’t think the formula of MAC lipsticks can be beating and I’m sure my collection will continue to grow in 2016.

Urban Decay NAKED Basics 2 – My first venture into the world of Urban Decay palettes. The NAKED Basics 2 is so versatile as the shades not only work well as a basis for eye shadow looks, but also as eyebrow shades. These shades are the most pigmented matte shades I have ever tried. I highly recommend trying this palette if you haven’t already.

    1. Thank you! Well I have tried both so I might be able to help 🙂 what is your skin type? I found NARS was too drying for my skin, the coverage is really good but it’s just too thick. It also seems to run out really fast. The urban decay one was much more creamy and blends so well so it just looks like skin rather than fakeness xxx

  1. One of my definte favourites is UD Smokey palette! It has so beautiful colours and I can do daytime make up and night time makeup! I even wrote about it in my blog post called “Top 5 Products”. You might want to check it out 🙂

  2. Pretty chuffed you could narrow it down to 5 products! I don’t think I’ll be able to myself. Soap and Glory products are finally making their way to the states, so I can’t wait to be able to get my hands on their stuff!
    Happy New Year!!!
