This week I decided to have a little look through my makeup stash. Every so often I like to do a rotation, so I bring out more season appropriate products and I often discover things I forgot that I had (which just shows how much makeup I have..). So I thought it would be good to talk you through some products that have slipped off my radar recently, but have been real favourites in the past.
First up is a true oldie, but it’s a real goodie – Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum. I think I actually included this in the first beauty haul I wrote about on my blog, and I quickly began to love it. The shade light vanilla is spot on for my skin, but the coverage is very light so I tend to only reach for this during Spring/Summer. It’s very natural and makes my skin look very healthy.
I had to include a Benefit product, when I first got into more high end makeup Benefit was the first brand I experimented with. Benefit’s They’re Real Mascara was my gateway product into the joys of this brand. Although the brush on this mascara is a little scary it makes my lashes look amazing. I’ve been loving the lash primer from this range recently, so I’m going to try using the pair together.
MAC Mineralise Skinfinish in Soft & Gentle is truly stunning, it’s a lovely champagne toned highlight. This has fallen to the bottom of my makeup bag in recent months as I have been trialling a variety of different highlights. I think I will always come back to this as it was the first real dramatic highlight I tried, and there is just something so unique about it.
Now here is a truly special lipstick, which was actually the first nude lipstick I ever bought – Bourjois Rouge Edition in Beige Trench. This lipstick is so flattering and easy to wear. It’s creamy finish keeps lips feeling nourishes, and it’s actually a good dupe for MAC’s Blankety (which is also a real favourite of mine).
I honestly can’t comprehend how I managed to forget about this gorgeous palette – the ZOEVA Cocoa Blend eye shadow palette. The shadows are very high quality considering it’s affordable price tag, and it contains a great mixture of shades. I particularly love the shades Pure Ganache, Sweeter End & Warm Notes. Since putting together this post I have been using this palette much more and I’ve really fallen in love all over again.
I hope this post may inspire you to search for some of your forgotten favourites too. What are some of your oldest favourite beauty products?

I’m using the healthy mix serum at the moment because they didn’t have the foundation…I think I prefer the foundation for the coverage it gives, but they are both such nice products. XX

Yes I’ve heard the fountain has much better coverage, I do like to have something lighter occasionally though 🙂 xx

So many of these are like my go-to products! I’ve been using the bourjois serum foundation all throughout this time of the year because of how natural it is! Mac Soft & Gentle to me is always my perfect “night-out” highlighter at the moment, it’s so stunning! I actually picked up the Zoeva cocoa blend palette a while ago and haven’t picked it up in a while so really need to! Thank you for reminding me! xx
