Affordable Autumnal Lip Shades

IMG_2868

I have a habit of over-using my MAC and Charlotte Tilbury lipsticks, and forgetting about those beautiful drugstore shades within my collection. So as the seasons are changing I thought it would be apt to bring out my favourite autumnal tones from more affordable brands.

I will start with the lightest shade of the three, Sleek Matte Me lip cream in Shabby Chic. Shabby Chic is a lovely muted pink with a mauve undertone. It’s a great everyday shade for the Autumn months as it’s not overly bold, but it’s different to your usual run-of-the-mill pink toned nudes!

Maybelline Color Drama in Berry Much is a beautifully deep raspberry shade. I love the fact that this comes in chubby pencil form as it makes application quick and easy. It’s very pigmented and has an intense velvety finish which is very comfortable on the lips.

Finally, how could I put together a drugstore lipstick post with Autumn shades without including the classic Rimmel Lasting Finish lipstick in 107. 107 is a vampy red wine shade, which looks totally gorgeous on all skin tones. The lasting finish lipsticks are great as they have a comfortable creamy finish, they don’t last as long as my MAC lipsticks but the price tag certainly makes up for that!

I’m definitely feeling inspired to get some more wear from these shades after writing this post. I’d love to hear what your favourite drugstore lip shades are for Autumn?
