My Top 5 Drugstore Beauty Products: Collab with RavishingRoses

IMG_2573

Today I’m bringing you something a little different! I’ve teamed up with the lovely Ana from RavishingRoses to do my first collab. When Ana approached me about the collab last month I was absolutely delighted – Ana has a gorgeous blog and her content is incredible, so I couldn’t turn down that offer!

I am going to talk you through my Top 5 drugstore products, and Ana will be posting about her Top 5 High end products – so please head over to her blog and check out her post.

Foundation – Rimmel Wake Me Up.

If you read my recent post – The Search for the Perfect Base, you will know all about my love for this foundation! It is such an easy foundation to work with and the colour matches my skin tone perfectly. I normally struggle to find drugstore foundations that suit my skin, as I have quite sensitive dry skin – but Rimmel Wake Me Up just ticks all the boxes for me. It gives medium coverage and is great at giving you that sought after ‘glowy’ look.

Mascara – Maybelline Lash Sensational

I think this mascara is a great dupe for Benefits Rollerlash and it comes in at around 1/3 of the price. I am completely in love with the rose gold tube, it looks so cute on my dressing table. This mascara has quite a wet formula but the plastic wand makes it so easy to work with. It separates and curls lashes, whilst giving definition but not clumping! I honestly can’t fault this product and will definitely continue to repurchase it.

Eye Shadow – Maybelline 24hr Colour Tattoo in Creamy Beige, On & On Bronze and Pink Gold.

I feel as though I may be cheating a bit here, but I couldn’t choose between these three shades as I just love them all so much. I am not the biggest eye shadow fan but recently I’ve been trying to experiment a bit and have tried out lots of cream & powder shadows. For Β£4.99 I don’t think you can go wrong with these cream shadows. They are super long lasting and really easy to apply – perfect for beginners like me. The range of shades is amazing, including matte neutral shades to gorgeous shimmery shades.

Blush / Bronzer – Make Up Revolution Ultra Blush Palette in Golden Sugar

I honestly don’t know where to begin with this blush palette. Over the past few months I have been on a bit of a blush hype (See my Blush Lovin’ post for more info) and since I picked up this palette last week I have not stopped wearing these shades! The white pearlescent shade is such a lovely highlight, and I also like the baked bronze shimmer shade (bottom row, second from the right) it makes for a really pretty blush. I think this palette is so versatile and I can’t believe it only costs Β£6. I think this is a must have for any bloggers make up kit!

Lipstick – Bourjois Rouge Edition Lipstick in the shade Beige Trench

I will put my hands up and admit it, I am addicted to lipstick. So with that said, this was a very hard decision for me. I went with Bourjois Beige Trench as this was the lipstick which ignited my love for a nude lip.Beige trench is a gorgeous pink based nude shade that I feel would suit most skin tones, including English Roses like myself & Ana! The formula is so creamy, yet really long lasting. I think Bourjois are one of my favourite drugstore brands as I feel like their packaging gives a more high end feeling and they just seem to be so on point!

So that’s it! We have come to the end of my Top 5 Drugstore Beauty Products – as I said earlier, be sure to check out Ana’s blog RavishingRosesΒ for her Top 5 High end Beauty products – she is super lovely and has a gorgeous blog so be sure to give her a follow!

I have really enjoyed doing my first collab – if anyone is interested in doing something similar don’t hesitate to contact me as I’d love to get more involved with other bloggers.

  2. Ahh that blush/bronzer palette looks incredible!! Have you tried to the sleek face kit by any chance? My friend is studying abroad in the UK and agreed to bring me some beauty products! I don’t quite know what to ask for but the revolution palette is beautiful. Makes me question whether or not I want the Sleek!
