Lipstick Addicts Anonymous: A Collab with Valentina!

I’m back with another exciting collab for you! Valentina, one of my favourite bloggers from across the pond is very much like me and has a huge obsession with lipstick. We couldn’t think of a more perfect topic for our collab post.

I am going to talk you through my favourite lipsticks, one from each of the following categories: red, coral, pink, nude and purple. Valentina will be doing the same on her blog, so do make sure you check that out as her blog is great, be sure to give her a follow!

RED – MAC Viva Glam I

This is my favourite red, as it is the perfect vampy shade for someone with a pale complexion. It can be a really tricky to apply because of the matte finish but it looks great on the lips. As with all MAC matte lipsticks it is really long lasting. I’m not sure why but I always feel very Snow White like when I wear this shade!

CORAL – MAC Crosswires

I won’t go into too much detail as I posted a full review on this lipstick last week (click here to read all about it). This is a firm favourite of mine as I feel pink based corals as so easy to pull off and the cremesheen finish is a bit more easy to wear during the day than the more matte finishes.

PINK – MAC Peach Blossom

You may have noticed there is a bit of a pattern with this post! I’ve worn this shade almost every day since I picked it up last weekend. It’s definitely a MLBB shade for me and I just feel like it gives my lips that extra bit of oomph! I do like pairing it with a slightly darker lip liner, this is quickly becoming my all time favourite lipstick (a big title I know!).

NUDE – MAC Blankety    

This is probably my most used/ well loved MAC lipstick. When I first picked it up I had to take it out of my handbag as I was getting through it way too quickly. I found it difficult to find a pale nude that suited my skin until Blankety came along. The Amplified finish is so soft and creamy on the lips, I really love it.

PURPLE – Limecrime Velvetine Utopia

I will admit I haven’t delved particularly deep into the world of purple lipsticks, but I think I have found a good one here! This is very much a statement lipstick and can be quite an intimidating shade but I really love it. The formula is liquid to matte, once it has dried on the lips it just won’t budge – which is really great for nights out! The only thing I don’t think about the finish is that at times it makes my lips feel as dry as the Sahara desert! I love it so much as it’s very different to the rest of my lipstick collection.

You may have noticed that the main photo contains 6 lipsticks, it’s not that I can’t count (I know I had you worried there!) I just had to include one special mention. I have become super obsessed with MAC lipstick at the moment but there is one drugstore lipstick that I had to mention..

SPECIAL MENTION – Bourjois Rouge Edition Lipstick Beige Trench

This was the first ever nude lipstick that I purchased and it will always have a special place in my heart/ make up bag. It is the perfect pink toned nude, with a creamy finish which is still so long lasting!
