Make-up Menu | In the Nude

It’s only really this past year that I’ve got into wearing my nude shades on my lips, eyes and my cheeks – I would always stick with pinks and peachy shades. But recently I’ve been really loving having a neutral eye look paired with a nude lip and very bronzed face. This is kind of an accidental post as over the weekend I was playing around with products and really loved the final result so I thought I would share it with you all.

Base: I used the bareMinerals Complexion Rescue as I have been loving this for an every day base. It has the perfect amount of coverage and is so gentle on my dry skin. I like to apply the complexion rescue using my Real Techniques Stippling Brush. Next up is the Collection Lasting Perfection concealer, I apply this sparingly under my eyes and then apply it in areas where I need that extra bit of concealer. I blend the concealer into my skin using a damp Real Techniques sponge and I find this stops it from looking to cakey.

Brows: I wanted bold brows with this look so I first filled them in with Soap & Glory’s Brow Archery pencil, giving my brows a bit more of an arch. I always like to set my brows and I am currently really loving the L’oreal Brow Artist Plumper.

Eyes: I primed my eyes with the Maybelline Colour Tattoo in Creamy Beige. Using my Zoeva 228 Luxe Crease Brush I put the shade Cover from the UD NAKED Basics 2 palette over the entire lid. I blended the KIKO shadow in the shade 132 into my crease and outer V just to give a touch more depth and a bit of shimmer. I lined my waterline using the Essence Kajal Pencil in white to make my eyes appear brighter. I then finished my eyes with my trusty Maybelline Lash Sensational mascara.

Cheeks: I bronzed my entire face using the Bourjois chocolate bronzer in the lightest shade which is a nice subtle bronzer for those with more of a pale complexion. To add further warmth I decided to go for MACs Harmony blush, I usually use this as a contour shade but it also works really well as a blush. So I dusted this very lightly on the apples of my cheeks as it is super pigmented.

Lips: What would a nude inspired look be without the queen of all nude lipsticks? I lined & filled my lips with Rimmel’s Lasting Finish liner in Spice and topped this with the one & only MAC Velvet Teddy.
