Make-Up Menu | A Night Out in Plymouth

IMG_8174

This weekend I went away with some of my girls for a night in Plymouth, as one of my friends is moving to Australia for 12 months – we wanted to give her a proper send off! Of course this was the perfect excuse to go all out with my make-up and use some of the new products I’ve purchased recently.

Base – It’s been so humid in the UK recently so I needed a super long lasting base which would stay on all night long – you guessed it, MAC Studio fix! I blended this with my Real Techniques Stippling brush. For concealer I went for Urban Decay NAKED skin – I’ve been really loving this as it’s so lightweight but still packs a punch when it comes to coverage! I set my base with my trusty MAC Studio Fix powder.

Brows – I feel like I’ve really got my brow routine pinned down at the moment. I like to fill in my brows using Soap & Glory Brow Archery as it is so easy to use. Once I’ve defined my brows I like to set them in place using Benefit’s Gimme Brow.

Eyes – As always I used my Maybelline Colour Tattoo in Creamy Beige as an eye shadow base, it’s great at preventing my eye shadow from creasing. Here comes the star of the show – The Zoeva Cocoa Blend palette. I started out by applying Sweeter End on the inner third of my eye. I packed quite a lot of this on to really lighten up this part of my eye. Over the rest of the lid I applied the gorgeous rose gold shade – Pure Ganache. To deepen the look I applied Subtle Blend to the outer corner & in to the crease. I used some of the Eyelure cluster lashes to make my lashes a bit more fluttery! My mascara of choice was Benefit’s Rollerlash.

Cheeks – As I was going for quite a warm look I went for MAC’s Harmony blush, using this to contour and generally give my face a bit more warmth. I can’t do my evening make up without adding some highlight, so I went in with MAC’s soft and gentle – I really think this is the perfect highlight for pale skin.

Lips – Last but definitely not least! I lined my lips with Rimmel’s Exaggerate liner in East End Snob and applied MAC Please Me over the top. Please Me is a subtle warm pink which is a matte finish so it’s perfect for night time make-up as it’s very long-wearing!

Here is a photo of the finished look. I was so pleased with how the eye shadow turned out and it lasted so well, I’m definitely going to write a full review of this palette soon as I’m very impressed.
