MAC of the Month | October

After lusting after some more berry toned MAC lipsticks for so long, it was inevitable I would quickly have a new favourite after my two duty free purchases at the beginning of the month. With that said this month’s favourite was without a doubt MAC Plumful.

Plumful is a lustre finish which is much more sheer than the other MAC formulas. It almost has a bit of a natural sheen to it which is really pretty. It applies very easily and you can build the layers to give your desired coverage. It is quite an easy going lipstick, because as it wears away it leaves a tint of colour on the lips. It is a really soft berry colour which is a nice alternative to some of the more bold berry shades that seem to get lots of attention in the blogging community (e.g. Rebel).

This is the first lustre lipstick I’ve tried and I definitely need to get some more. It feels so soft on the lips, but it doesn’t wear away as quick as the other more moisturising formulas such as the cremesheens. I know other people have had problems with lustre lipsticks clinging to their dry patches but this wasn’t the case for me at all.

So in summary Plumful has taken the top spot this month due to it’s lovely formula and all round wearability. I would highly recommend trying it, especially if you aren’t one for really bold berry shades.
