A Little Drugstore Haul

IMG_1224

This week I decided to treat myself to a few bits from the drugstore. I’ve made the decision from now on that I’m not going to spend any money on makeup/skincare unless it’s really necessary. I’m trying to be more money conscious and be better at saving, so before starting this I thought I’d get a few little treats.

No7 Stay Perfect Shade & Define in Glistening Ray – I had a voucher for £3 off No7 makeup, so of course I had to pick something up from No7. I already have one of these shadow sticks in a different shade and I have been getting so much use from it recently so I decided to pick up a different shade. Glistening Ray is a lovely soft shimmery champagne shade, and will work as a really lovely base for eye shadow looks.

Lee Stafford Treatment for Hair That Never Grows Past a Certain Length  – I actually purchased two tubs of this amazing stuff! Lee Stafford products are currently 2 for £10 which is amazing considering this treatment costs £8 per pot. So obviously I had to stock up. I really rate this hair treatment as it has made a huge difference to the condition of my hair.

Simple Kind To Skin Micellar Cleansing Water – After finishing up my Garnier Micellar water (which I loved) I decided I wanted to try a different brand. Fleur de Force has raved about this micellar water so I thought I would give it a try. It’s very gentle and doesn’t sting my eyes or leave my skin looking red.

Rimmel Stay Matte Powder in 001 Transparent – Some of you may be really shocked but I haven’t actually tried this powder before. I know that this powder is very popular among bloggers, and I’ve been looking to try a transparent powder so I thought this would be worth a go.

Maybelline Color Tattoo in Creme De Rose – Creme de rose is from the creamy mattes range. I thought this would be a nice addition to my collection as it’s quite a subtle shade which would work well as an eye shadow base. The formula of the Maybelline Color Tattoos is fantastic, especially considering the very budget friendly price tag.

Rimmel Brow This Way Brow Styling Gel – My current brow gel is sadly coming to the end of it’s life, so when I spotted this for only £2.99 it seems like fate! The brush of this product is slightly larger than what I am used to, but it is still very easy to use. I am excited to see how this compares to my current brow products.

Seventeen Define & Conquer Contour Kit – I’m very excited about this product as Seventeen is a completely new brand to me. I’ve had this on my wish list for quite some time now, and I finally decided to taken the plunge. I purchased the shade fair as I didn’t want the contour to be too dark, as you can see it’s not too warm toned so I’m hoping this shade will work well for my pale skin.

What drugstore products have you picked up recently?

Also a little side note, this week I created a Facebook page for my blog – I would love for you to head on over & give me a like (shameless plug I know..).

      1. Their lip products are very good, especially the lip stains. Also the eye colours (in specific the pencil ones that are like a crayon), also one of my friends really rates the mascara but I had a bad reaction to it 😦
Your hauls always make me want to dash to Boots haha 🙂 xxx

  1. I am surprised you haven’t tried the Rimmel powder yet! It’s my staple powder I repurchase again and again it’s the best and such good value for money!! The seventeen contour kit is good for an everyday subtle look too! And thanks for reminding me I need to purchase a new brow gel – I will look out for the Rimmel one that’s such a good price! I’m the same as you re saving money – definitely going to have to be shopping my stash for blog posts at the mo!! xx

  2. I said the same thing… I don’t need to buy any more nail polish. And then a week later after buying the Vice 4 and Jem and the Holograms palette, I said I wasn’t buying any more makeup than was in my IPSY bag.

And then OPI said they had Hello Kitty nail polish and MAC said they had a fairy inspired spring collection.

    AUGH………

Anyway, nice haul. Good luck trying to not buy anything…

      1. And then Ipsy is like, hey theBalm nude Tude is only 20 bucks. Sigh. I haven’t bought it… Yet. I actually don’t have one of the eight billion naked/nude palettes out there. Lol

  3. You’ve picked up some great products! I love the Maybelline Colour Tattoos so will be keeping my eye out for Creme De Rose & Creme De Nude. My local stores are only small, so I’ll probably have to hunt when I’m near a bigger store. I’m still working with my Rimmel Brow Gel, but much prefer it to the Maybelline Brow Drama. Xx
