What I got for my Birthday | MAC, Charlotte Tilbury & more.

I decided I would share with you the amazing gifts I received for my Birthday. I would initially like to point out I am in no way showing off, I’m purely sharing this with you as I really enjoy reading and watching these kind of posts/videos. I thought it may help give you some inspiration if you are looking to buy someone a gift, or even to treat yourself! I was very lucky this year as my family and friends really spoilt me, and absolutely love everything I’ve got so a big thank you to everyone. I have only included the beauty items in this post, so be sure to watch my YouTube video to see the rest of my gifts (video is included at the end of this post).

First up is this amazing Soap & Glory Smoothie Star set – I’m not going to go into too much detail on each product as I’ve spoken about them a fair bit on my YouTube video which will be linked at the end of this post. The Smoothie Star scent is my favourite, being very sweet and maple syrup like so I was very excited to receive this set.

My parents treated me to a handful of items from MAC – which I totally wasn’t expecting. They got me the MAC 217 brush which I have been after for a long time. They also got me an eye shadow in the shade Woodwinked which is a lovely warm toned brown with a subtle gold shimmer.

If you’ve been following me a while, you will know how much I love a good highlight. MAC Lightscapade Mineralise Skinfinish does not disappoint. It’s natural but still glistens enough to give you a significant glow.

MAC Cosmo was another part of my present from my parents, and I bought myself MAC Viva Glam II with a voucher. One of my lovely friends also got me a MAC Velvetease Lip Pencil in the shade Aim to Please, which isn’t pictured but does appear in my YouTube video.

With my voucher I also treated myself to the MAC Blush in Margin which is a good spring/summer shade – it’s peachy toned with golden flecks so creates a real glow. I also bought an eyeshadow pan, in the shade Amber Lights.

I was lucky enough to receive the LUSH Blooming Beautiful gift set – which contains the Rose Jam bubbleroon and Honey Bee bath bomb. With a voucher I purchased the LUSH Ladybird gift set which contains the Sunflower bubble bar (which can only be purchased in this set or at LUSH Oxford Street), Honey Bee bath bomb & the Ladybird bubble bar.

As a little present to myself I purchased the LUSH Salted Coconut hand scrub, which I have been absolutely loving. Not surprisingly, it has a fantastic coconut based scent and it really helps to soften and repair my hands. I actually visited the LUSH Liverpool store on my Birthday, and they kindly gifted me the Golden Egg which I was delighted about.

I have to say my boyfriend did a really amazing job, he always does. He is really observant and attentive so I never really have to give him any hints. As well as the Soap & Glory set, he also bought me some makeup including this stunning ZOEVA Rose Golden Blush Palette. The packaging is perfection and I love that you get a really generous amount of each product.

I have to point out, this is quite possibly the prettiest and most glittery eye shadow I have ever seen – so this post may leave you wanting to buy this (just a small warning). Mark also got me the amazing Makeup Geek Foiled Shadow in the shade Grandstand. As you can see from the swatch in my video, it’s very pigmented. It is a stunning copper shade which really stands out on the eyes.

Last but not least was a big surprise, Charlotte Tilbury Matte Revolution Lipstick in Between the Sheets. I briefly mentioned liking this a few weeks back – but Mark never seems to forget those sort of comments. Lets just all take a minute to appreciate the beauty of this packaging at the shape of the lipstick.. I think this is a great shade for spring and I can’t wait to use this in a YouTube tutorial.

Don’t forget to head on over to my YouTube channel for more details on these products, including swatches, as well as the non-beauty gifts that I received.

  1. Watched your video whilst I was getting ready this morning. The only thing I have out of all of this is Woodwinked, and I’ve not pulled it out it out in ages so thanks for reminding me of it’s existance!

Really want to get some of the Makeup Geek pans as I have a new empty palette to fill!

  2. What amazing gifts for your birthday! 😀 That MAC 217 will last you a lifetime – I’ve loved mine for years! And Woodwinked has been a recent re-discovery for me, it’s such a great everyday type of shade! MAC Cosmo is one of my favourite MLBB shades – another everyday colour. Enjoy everything!
