The Power of Makeup

power

I was inspired after watching Power of Makeup videos by two of my favourites – Becca Rose and also the lovely Hannwinn. If you’ve not come across this concept before, it basically involves applying makeup but only to half of your face. This means you can really see the differences and how the makeup has enhanced your face, and it’s a nice way to reflect.

I’ve not included a before photo in this post, as you’ll have to watch the video to see the full transformation (video at the end of this post). I really enjoyed filming this video as it allowed me to chat around the subject of makeup and my views. At times people can be very opinionated on women wearing makeup, especially when women wear a lot of makeup. I won’t spoil it too much – but I personally believe that it’s each individuals choice, and you really shouldn’t let society or opinions of others influence your decisions.

I am really lucky as I have quite clear skin (apart from my redness) so I can get away with wearing minimal makeup. But I actually really envy those who can really pull off wearing a full face of makeup, with a stunning cut crease and winged liner to match.

  1. I so agree that I wish I could pull off a really strong makeup look with an amazing smoky eye but I just don’t think it suits me. I think it drowns me out cus I’m quite fair. Love the idea of this video πŸ™‚ xxx
